Product specifications
Waterproof:
The Pudl Suit has a hydrostatic pressure rating of 10,000mm H₂O which means it can withstand a 10-metre column of water before it begins to penetrate, the standard test for waterproof performance.
The result is that it keeps you dry in sustained, heavy rain for up to two hours and wind for prolonged periods, the same level of protection used in serious all-weather outerwear.
Combined with taped seams and waterproof zips, this makes the Pudl Suit, by industry standards, fully waterproof.
2.5 layer breathable shell:
The breathability rating is 10000 g/m²·24h. Perfect for light to moderate activity. Think dog walks, hiking, gardening, or commuting - it prevents that clammy feeling, keeping you dry both inside and out.
Consciously made:
Our outer fabric is made from recycled fibres, reducing waste and the need for virgin materials.
We know it’s not a perfect solution, but it’s progress. Not every brand is taking this step, and the more we do, the faster the industry moves forward.
C0 DWR Coating
The outer layer is treated with a C0 Durable Water Repellent (DWR) coating, a new generation finish that’s completely free from PFAS, the so-called “forever chemicals.”
This technology is kinder to the planet and already ahead of upcoming global regulations that will ban PFAS use in textiles by 2027.
Because C0 coatings are less chemically aggressive than traditional ones, a little care goes a long way, wash gently, avoid fabric softeners, and reproof occasionally to keep your suit performing at its best (more on this below).

Care guide
The Pudl Suit is built to last but like any performance gear, it needs a little care to keep doing its job. Here’s how to make sure it protects you for years to come:
1. Wash gently, not often.
Use a technical cleaner like Nikwax Tech Wash or Grangers Performance Wash. Never use regular detergent or fabric softener as they block breathability and strip waterproofing.
2. Zip, clip & turn inside out.
Close all zips, Velcro and straps, then turn your Pudl Suit inside-out before washing. It protects the outer coating and zips.
3. Low heat is your friend.
Tumble dry on low heat or gently iron with a cloth to reactivate the DWR coating.
4. Reproof when water stops beading.
If rain starts soaking into the fabric, it’s time to refresh your DWR. Use Nikwax TX-Direct or Grangers Repel Spray while the suit is clean and damp.
5. Store dry and loose.
Never pack away your suit damp - hang it somewhere cool and airy to preserve the waterproof membrane.
